Once you’ve built a Space with Decentralverse AI, the next step is setting up your wallet and purchasing Polygon (POL) to begin minting your NFT Spaces. After your wallet is ready and you’ve created your Land or 3D Asset, you can proceed to mint it as an NFT.
Before diving in, here are a few key terms to understand:
Polygon (POL): A cryptocurrency on the Polygon blockchain network known for faster and cheaper transactions compared to Ethereum.
Wrapped POL (WPOL) (formerly known as MATIC): A token on the Polygon blockchain that allows you to make offers on other users' Land and 3D Asset NFTs.
MetaMask: A digital wallet used to store cryptocurrency and NFTs, connected to your web browser as an extension.
WalletConnect: A tool that enables you to connect alternative wallets to Decentralverse AI.
To mint or collect NFT Spaces, you’ll need to connect your wallet—whether through MetaMask or WalletConnect—to Decentralverse AI. For creators, having Polygon (POL) and Wrapped POL (WPOL) in your wallet is essential for minting your Land and 3D Assets as NFTs and interacting with the platform.
Download and install the through their website.
Select “Create a Wallet.”
Create a username and password.
Pay close attention to your uniquely assigned Secret Recovery Phrase, and store it somewhere safe. If you lose this series of words or forget what order they’re in, you will lose access to your wallet and it will be unrecoverable. We recommend writing the phrase on a piece of paper and storing it in a memorable, safe, and secure spot.
You will get a Secret Recovery Phrase, confirm the phrase by placing all of the words in the correct order as they were assigned.
Now, MetaMask is set up and should appear in your browser extensions.

How to Get Polygon (POL) and Wrapped POL (WPOL)
To buy Polygon (POL) and convert it into Wrapped POL (WPOL), follow these steps:
Sign Up for a Cryptocurrency Exchange Start by registering on a trusted cryptocurrency exchange, such as Coinbase or Binance. These secure platforms make it easy to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrency. We’ll use Coinbase as an example in this guide.
Note: The verification process on Coinbase can take up to 14 days, though it often completes faster.
Connect Your Payment Method Link a debit card or bank account to your Coinbase account. This step is crucial for verifying your account and enabling you to buy Polygon (POL).
Tip: If you connect a debit card, you can buy POL instantly. If you link a bank account, you can still purchase POL immediately, but the balance may take up to 15 days to appear in your account.
Purchase Polygon (POL) Once your account is set up and verified, you're ready to buy POL:
Click “Buy / Sell” on Coinbase and select “Polygon” from the list of cryptocurrencies.
We recommend purchasing a small amount of POL to start. You’ll need POL in your wallet to cover transaction fees for minting or buying Land NFTs and 3D Asset NFTs.
Complete Your Purchase After selecting your amount, click “Preview Buy” to confirm the details. If everything looks good, click “Buy Now” to complete your purchase. You’ll receive a notification from Coinbase when your POL is available, which can take between 2-15 days depending on your payment method.
Send POL to Your MetaMask Wallet Once your POL is ready to transfer, send it from Coinbase to your MetaMask wallet:
Open the MetaMask browser extension and click “Account” to copy your wallet address. This address, similar to a bank account number, allows you to send and receive crypto worldwide.
Follow the instructions to send your POL from Coinbase to your MetaMask wallet. The process can take up to 2 days if you used a debit card or up to 15 days if you used a bank transfer.
Now that you have Polygon (POL) in your MetaMask wallet, you can swap it for Wrapped POL (WPOL) (formerly known as WMATIC) to make offers on Land NFTs or 3D Asset NFTs within the Decentralverse AI app.
Sending Polygon (POL) from Coinbase to MetaMask
From the Coinbase Website:
Locate “Polygon (POL),” then click “Send.”
In the “To” field, paste your Polygon wallet address from MetaMask. Ensure the entire 42-character wallet address is correct—if crypto is sent to the wrong address, it cannot be recovered.
Click “Continue” and then “Confirm” to send your POL. The transfer should take just a few minutes.
From the Coinbase App:
Open the Coinbase mobile app and tap on “Portfolio.”
Find “Polygon (POL),” then select “POL Wallet.” Your POL balance will appear.
To send POL to your MetaMask wallet, tap the send icon in the top right.

Swapping Polygon (POL) to Wrapped POL (WPOL) (formerly WMATIC)
